Planning a trip to Hawaii can be great fun, but a little if you’ve never been here before. With eight main islands, there are so many places you can go to experience our laid-back surf culture we’ve all grown to love.
There are many types
of accommodations, including:
But when you say the words, “Hawaiian vacation” or “trip to Hawaii,” what’s the first thing you think of?
The Beach
Doesn’t nearly
everyone come to the Islands for a beach?
Maui, and indeed, all
of Hawaii, have some of the most famous beaches in the world. Waikiki and the
North Shore in Oahu. Papaohaku on the western end of Molokai’. Hapuna on the Big Island. Lanikai Beach on
Honolulu. And so many more.
Hana beaches are no
less beautiful and numerous, even if they’re not as well-known as some of the
others. Stunning views, beautiful flora and fauna, and an amazing rainforest
environment frame the most unique and incredible views you’ve ever seen.
Staying anywhere else may not be the same.
The Getaway
You’re not coming to Hana to watch TV in your room, are you? You’re taking the Road To Hana in order to get to our little slice of heaven on the eastern edge of Maui. Why wouldn’t you stay in an oceanfront accommodation?
Hana does have a range of modern conveniences, but one of the biggest attraction is the lack of urban sprawl and commercialization. The native Hawaiian way of life is deeply entrenched here, as well as the carefully preserved atmosphere with a lot less “civilization.” By keeping this slower paced way of life, we can offer it to our visitors, who are truly interested in a relaxing beach vacation, complete with black sands, ocean waves, and a place that’s not like any other.
Condos Vs. Hotels
If you’ve ever lived
in one, you know the difference between a condo and an apartment.
An apartment is
usually just a place to live, but a condo is more of a hybrid between an
apartment and a house. You’re in a multi-family home, but with all the
conveniences you’d have with you own house.
Depending on the condo you live in, instead of a laundromat, you’d have your own laundry facilities, as well as a full kitchen and bath. Some have patios, balconies, and other “extras.” But many hotel rooms are more like apartments rather than homes, and many have occupancy limits (such as 4 people.) This becomes difficult with a larger party.
Condos are more family
oriented, and can accommodate more people. During your stay, you’ll be able to
do much of your own cooking, saving on dining costs. You’ll also be able to
enjoy the types of food you do at home.
Of course, there are the usual hotels in Hana, with just a small sleeping space and bathroom. So why not get a condo with more amenities and “home comforts” with an amazing ocean view you’ll never forget?
