Waikaloa Bay is also a short distance away with a black sand beach, and we’ll show you the path to get there. Surfing is great here for the experienced. Wear sturdy, comfortable shoes to this beach, because it’s not all soft sand.
Another black sand beach with beautiful views is Hana Bay Beach Park, less than a half-mile drive south of Hana Kai Maui. It’s a public park with 140 parking spaces available to the public. This beach has more amenities, including picnic tables, restrooms, and showers, as well as calm, swimmable waters to enjoy.
Just down the road from the Beach Park is the Hana Community Center and District Complex and Ball Park. Here, you can enjoy another incredible beach along with the National Tropical Botanical Garden.
