As if you didn’t need another good reason to visit Maui, we have another one to add to your itinerary: the 42nd annual Kapalua Wine & Food Festival. Hosted by a neighboring resort in West Maui, the Kapalua Wine & Food Festival showcases the best artisan wines, beers, champagnes, and other offerings from around the world. Each event pairs these wines and spirits with a wide variety of local dishes from the best of Maui’s fine dining.
The KWFF runs from June 8 through 11, 2023, and has events scheduled for each day. Meet sommeliers and chefs from around the world. You can experience wine tasting and unique globally influenced fine cuisines prepared by world-class chefs all in one place. You can buy tickets to attend one or two of the individual seminars, buy a ticket for the entire event, or choose one of the events booked directly with a venue.
For Foodies And Wine Lovers
Maybe we’re biased, but we like to think that Maui’s fine cuisine can go up against the best on the Mainland anytime. Maui also has its own vineyard and winery, offering locally produced wines, including a unique pineapple wine.
Maui is home to a wide range of agriculture and crops, including coconuts, coffee, bananas, avocados, and macadamia nuts, among others. Many chefs utilize locally grown and produced foods, including local seafood, making many dishes truly farm-to-table. And there are quite a few interesting places to eat right here in Hana, most of which make the best of what Maui has to offer.
Enjoy The Best Of Maui In Your Own Kitchen
Because each of our beautiful condos at Hana Kai Maui has its own kitchen, foodies can enjoy cooking with locally produced foods, just like local chefs. Maui’s culinary bounty is proudly available throughout the Island, in local stores and roadside stands. From the airport, you can make a grocery stop at one of several stores (including a few rights here in Hana) to stock your kitchen for your stay.
Have we mentioned that Maui’s banana bread is the best in the world? If you find a place along the way selling banana bread—buy some. It’s great for breakfast, as a snack, or a dessert after dinner. Local makers are proud of their banana bread, which uses apple bananas and other fresh locally grown ingredients.
With a glass of pineapple or other exclusively Maui wine, you too can enjoy the best that the Valley Isle has to offer right here in Hana. Think about enjoying a glass of vino while watching one of Hana’s beautiful sunsets, enjoying delicious takeout, or your own home-cooked meal with fresh, local ingredients from right here in Maui.
